I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about this lipbalm from “Kiehls” for a while now. It took me a while to cave and buy one their lip balms as well (and with 8€ for a tube, it is quite pricy as well!) but … wow.
I’ve used Labello, I’ve used normal cream, I’ve used a ton of other stuff – nothing helped. They didn’t really “cure” my lips, they just put on a light film, trying to cover the real problem and 15minutes later my lips were chapped and raw again.
The first time I used this lip balm I wasn’t overly impressed. It felt strange on my lips (for whatever reason) but the more I use it the better it becomes. I think it really helps. My lips aren’t chapped anymore, but soft and full. I only use a tiny amount once in the morning and once in the evening so far but I can imagine I’d carry it with me wherever I go next winter.
It truly is the best lipcare product I’ve ever tried.
(Note: I’m not getting paid to write these articles and product reviews. They are purely my own obsessions.)
I was always kind of weary about things that are both – salt and sweet. I’m not a huge fan to be honest so I regarded recipes about salted-caramels with sort of a strange fascination, nothing more.
Then I saw Häagen Dazs offer salted caramel ice cream and I thought “Why not give it a try?”.
And now? Now I’m obsessed. It’s such a gorgeous combination – the slightly salted flavours balancing out the usually too sweet caramel. It’s perfect as a side to dessert – like cookies, brownies and cakes. I’d never have thought I’d be so delighted by that combination.
Further proof of what my parents always taught me: Try to give everything a try – you might be surprised.
